On Monday, Meta Platforms announced the launch of AI Studio, a new tool enabling users to create, share, and design personalized AI chatbots.
AI Studio will let users craft custom AI characters and empower Instagram creators to employ these characters as an extension of themselves. These AI avatars can manage common DM queries and respond to story interactions, according to Meta.
Users can share their AI creations across Meta’s various platforms. The tool utilizes Meta's Llama 3.1, the latest and largest version of its largely free AI models released last week. This model supports multiple languages and offers performance comparable to paid models from competitors like OpenAI.
ChatGPT creator OpenAI is developing a project known as "Strawberry," with details closely guarded even within the company. As reported exclusively by Reuters in July, OpenAI is working to demonstrate that its models can achieve advanced reasoning capabilities.
